Five Forks Veterinary Hospital Fall Festival and the anniversary celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on October 7. During the October 31 event, the community is also invited to “Walk with a Doc.” From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Dr. Andrea Smith of Bon Secours St. Francis Primary Care Downtown will be on hand to provide education on nutrition, preventive health and chronic disease management. She will be available to tour with anyone wishing to discuss the topic or ask related questions. The arena lobby will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for anyone who wants a climate-controlled space to exercise. Each loop around the concourse is a quarter mile. Well Walkers is a free event with no registration or advance notice required. Free parking for participants is provided in the arena’s VIP parking lot, located off Church Street.
