TFP Nutrition is voluntarily recalling 50 lb bags of its Retriever All Life Stages Mini Chunk Chicken Recipe dry dog food product due to potential salmonella contamination.
The voluntary recall was announced by the company and published by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on October 21, 2023.
The recall was issued after a single sample of the product tested positive for salmonella in a random sample test conducted by the Texas State Chemist’s Office.
The recalled product was manufactured on October 4 and 5 at the company’s facility in Nacogdoches, Texas. And it was distributed in the following states: Arkansas, Arizona, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

Currently, no human or canine illnesses have been reported. In addition, the recalled product was removed from store shelves and no other TFP Nutrition products were affected by this recall.
