Petco Health and Wellness Company, Inc. is expanding its nutrition focus to small towns and rural communities with its new Neighborhood Farm & Pet Supply pet care centers. The first community pilot opened in Floresville, Texas on June 17.
These locations will provide a one-stop shop for health and wellness services covering not only pets, but also farm animals like horses, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, etc. The standalone retail outlets will be located in the central areas of these rural communities.
Petco will eventually test a handful of these sites, providing an assortment of products and services at a lower cost thanks to the company’s digital fulfillment capabilities and omnichannel ecosystem. Locations will include high-quality nutrition, select agricultural and food products, live pets, mobile vaccination and grooming services and self-washing stations.
Additionally, consumers will continue to benefit from Petco’s same-day delivery, buy-online-pick-up-in-store (BOPIS)and curbside pickup.
