Minstrel is a male Dalmatian aged 1 to 2 years old. This was an unsold puppy, this poor little boy was picked up as he wandered off with 2 female Dalmatians and neither was picked up or microchipped so probably never seen a vet.
This poor little boy received virtually no support and spent the majority of his life in a kennel. As a result, he has the mind of a little puppy that just needs input and training, it’s a blank canvas that you can mold into the dog you want him to be.
Minstrel has had little of the training or socialization he needs, so it’s a blank canvas for his adopters to grow into the perfect little boy we know is there, just disguised by total overexcitement!
When Minstrel arrived, he was very thin and shy, didn’t really know how to behave around people or dogs, and was covered in urine stains and old wounds as well as bad skin.
Minstrel has bald lines on his body that have removed hair follicles and it doesn’t look like they will grow back, the guard seems to think he may have been caught in barbed wire or similar at some point.
Whatever his past we know it hasn’t been nice and so he needs a committed adopter who is happy to accept a project dog, he is worth it and is a lovely boy.
Minstrel is now doing much better and is ready to move on to the next stage of his life with a new family. However, it’s a work in progress, he still needs building but he’s so active in the group this time around. proves difficult.
Here, Minstrel is literally like a kid in a candy store, he won’t stay still unless separated from the other dogs. Minstrel is full of character and mischief!! It’s such a shame that such a beautiful, happy little boy is left homeless!
Minstrel is a happy and lively little boy who would love a family to play with him and keep him busy, he loves to go for walks and loves to greet every dog he meets, and everyone who meets him falls in love very quickly!!
Minstrel will need a home with lots of human time and interaction, he needs to live with another dog as he loves to play and cause trouble with other dogs!
Minstrel can live with children aged 8 years or accustomed to noisy young dogs, he is full of bounce and energy and will startle when overexcited.
Minstrel loves to run and play with toys and a ball, he also loves to get dirty!
Minstrel is eager to learn and please, he has literally had no input so is sometimes uncertain and excited, he will make a fantastic dog for someone willing to put in the time and training.
Minstrel is non-destructive unless it’s a stuffed animal, he loves to eat them, the cushions are also worth shredding!!
Minstrel is primarily house trained, but we expect him to back off in a new home as he will be very unsure in a new environment. He is happy to be left for short periods, he is cage trained.
Minstrel will need someone who is used to this breed or similar, he is a very energetic dog who is always on the move, and if you don’t keep him busy he will become destructive, he needs stimulation to both physical and mental.
Minstrel is a beautiful, active, happy, and spirited little boy who desperately needs a forever home and a family to grow up with.
Minstrel is the cutest little bug ever – he can’t get close enough to you once he gets to know you! Minstrel also smiles the famous Dalmatian smile! Minstrel is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, fledged and dewormed.
