Once she arrived, and as part of her adoption preparation, Heims was dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Additionally, Heims had a few fractured teeth that required extraction. Heims finds her place in a foster family and wins the hearts of everyone she meets. She is a little shy at first, but over time she warms up quickly. He is a playful pup who loves to snuggle up with his foster parents after a good session of wrestling and chasing with his four-legged foster brother.
A significant contributor to animal welfare initiatives and a long-time supporter of AARCS is PetSmart Charities of Canada, which has awarded $40,000 to AARCS for adoption preparation. In January 2024 alone, AARCS welcomed 400 animals into our care who will all go through the adoption preparation process.
Just like with Heims, we will ensure that they too are happy and healthy pets before adoption. Join us in thanking Canada’s PetSmart Charities for their generous support in helping to give second chances to so many deserving pets!
