STAMFORD, CT — The 12th Annual Health Wellness & Lifestyle Expo, with special thanks to Stamford Health, will be held September 9 at Harbor Point.
It’s Connecticut’s largest health and wellness expo, with 120 exhibitors, eight different zones, free health checkups provided by Stamford Health, free flu shots provided by ShopRite, and other screenings and activities offered by an exciting group of sponsors and exhibitors.
Free group lessons along the beautiful Harbor Point boardwalk are another highlight of this important community event.
The theme of this year’s exhibition is GO. GATHER. GROW UP: Let’s go to the expo. Let’s gather with family and friends to experience the best in health, wellness and fitness. Let’s develop mind, body and spirit.
Parking and admission are free. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The day will begin with a welcoming ceremony led by Mayor of Stamford, Caroline Simmons. She will present a proclamation declaring September 9 Stamford Health, Health and Wellness Day. This is to recognize Stamford Health and their commitment to this event for the 12th consecutive year as well as their commitment to providing world-class healthcare to the greater Stamford community.
Additionally, the Cingari family, owners of multiple ShopRites in Connecticut, will be honored with a community leadership award at the opening ceremony.
The national anthem will be performed with a Color Guard.
The eight zones of the exhibition will feature a Pet Wellness Zone sponsored by Spot On Veterinary Hospital & Hotel; Yoga and stretching area sponsored by Greenwich Psychology & Wellness; Group fitness area sponsored by Sacred Heart University; Healthy food truck area; Zone of healthy food, restaurants and drinks; Eco-friendly wine, spirits and craft beer area; the Kids Zone sponsored by Au Pair in America offering fun activities in the sandpit area on the Harbor Point Boardwalk; and a Pickleball America area where everyone can experience the many health benefits of this popular sport and the opening of the new Pickleball America in downtown Stamford.
