Whoopi Goldberg shared reflections on a situation involving Miranda Lambertand his opinion has fans in agreement.
During a July 15 performance of Miranda’s Velvet Rodeo While in residence in Las Vegas, fans saw the country singer interrupt her singing when she noticed a group of fans taking selfies while she sang an emotional song. At the time, she told the audience that she was not thrilled with this show and wanted them to focus on the music. When the subject came up later in a segment on ViewWhoopi expressed her feelings about how she would react if she were in the same situation.
“If they paid for the tickets, they came to see her,” she told the co-hosts. Sarah Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny accommodation And Alyssa Farah Griffin. “So if she sings, at least a little respect. Recognize that if you can see her, she can see you too.”
Whoopi continued, “It’s like being a lounge singer. You walk into a bar, someone’s at the piano and nobody’s listening. That’s how it is for her, I’m just saying.”
When Sara, Sunny, and Alyssa tried to explain why fans decided to take the photos in the middle of the concert, Whoopi didn’t understand. After speaking her thoughts loud and clear, she put her words into action with the help of the live audience.
“Stay home. If you’re spending $750 to come to my concert, then give me the respect to watch me while I’m doing my thing or don’t come,” she concluded. “Turn on the TV, my daughter…I’m leaving you because I want to take a picture with this wonderful 91-year-old woman. So, we’re going to take a selfie. Just you and me.”
When View Fans saw Whoopi’s reaction and stance on the concert incident, many were divided by the decision. While some disagreed with the TV personality’s opinion, others were quick to side with her online.
“It’s amazing what Whoopi did in the end, that’s how we all should be!!!” someone wrote on Instagram. “Well done Whoopi đź‘Ź that’s so sweet,” agreed another. “It was a cute segment which I love, they all had different opinions and just expressed them, and the Whoopi moment at the end,” another YouTube follower said.
If there’s anything to know about Whoopi, it’s that she will stand up for whatever she believes in.
