Concept of device.
Charging your phone during a power outage has never been easier. Using simple electronics, a candle and ice, you can also charge your phone completely off-grid. This means you’ll always stay connected, even when your only source of energy is a wood fire or a simple candle.
Just be aware that this might create a bit of a mess, so consider yourself warned! (This might also not work).
10. Make a skateboard powered by an electric drill
Motorized vehicles are a lot of fun, but they can be expensive. Why spend money on a new motorized skateboard when your handy electric drill is lying around?
This project may cost you a little, but it is much cheaper than purchasing the entire motorized skateboard.
Check simple guide to follow here. You can also create a different version using the instructions in the embedded video.

The completed table.
If your partner is pestering you to fix things around the house, why not impress them with your engineering and design skills by building a cute patio table? Plus, this project could use some of the scrap wood you probably have lying around the house (you knew this would come in handy one day, right?).
You can make this perfectly rustic yet luxurious table with just a bag of concrete and a few extra 2x4s.

Easily create your own low-cost tripwire.
This project is a little more fun than incredibly useful, but we suppose it would be perfect if you were trying to protect yourself from the zombie apocalypse.
Gather a battery, clothespin, and other items to create a simple DIY tripwire alarm. You can configure the alarm to set off the fuse of a firecracker or, much more safely, light an LED.
Always put your safety and that of your family first when undertaking projects of this nature. But of course you know that.
