Good Samaritans pay it forward through acts of kindness
A number of animals have recently been placed in the care of the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) thanks to kind-hearted and compassionate good Samaritans who took action when they saw an animal in distress, and these acts of Kindness has made a huge difference in life. of the animals concerned.
Whether found in a parking lot, basement, or on the side of the road, the animals recently brought to ARL by the Good Samaritans were in varying degrees of health, but all had one thing in common: individuals compassionate and caring people who took time out of their environment. their day to help an animal in need.
Alongside a handful of cats who have already found their forever homes, ARL is currently caring for an 11-month-old male Pitbull named Peanut Butter, who was recently found along a busy road in Dedham and who was in dire need of rescue.
Wandering at night along Route 109, the dark-colored dog was at risk of being hit by a vehicle and, what’s more, the night he was found, temperatures were in the teens, which added to the vulnerability of the animal.
Seeing peanut butter on the side of the road, the good Samaritans intervened, stopped and put the dog into the vehicle.
Rescue workers took him home for the night and the next day brought him to the ARL. Dedham Animal Care and Adoption Center.
Although in generally good health, Peanut Butter did not wear a collar or tag and did not have a microchip.
ARL made efforts to find its owner, but to no avail.
He is now available for adoption and ARL looks forward to finding him the forever home he deserves.
