The Rachael Ray Show was discontinued after 17 seasons in May, and fans are wondering: And after for the famous chef and talk show host? Well, she’s coming back to television soon with a brand new series with a powerful purpose. Rachael won’t be in the kitchen or interview celebrities. Instead, she helps families rebuild their homes after a disaster. To live in the countryside got an exclusive sneak peek at his new series, Rachael Ray rebuilds.
It’s a subject close to Rachael’s heart. In 2020, Rachael and her husband, John Cusimano, were faced with the unthinkable when a a fire broke out in their New York home. Rachael, John and their dog Bella escaped unharmed, but their home and many of their belongings were destroyed. She chronicled the rebuilding process with fans of her show and shared a visit to the house in November 2021 after 15 months of renovation. This experience led Rachael to help others in similar situations.
On the 10-episode series, which will be broadcast on HuluRachael and construction professional Anthony Carrino (from HGTV Kitchen cousins) meet people from across the country following disasters like bad weather or fire. The team helps families navigate the rebuilding process, from insurance and contractors to the financial challenges and emotional toll it takes. The goal is to return them to their homes.
The 10 episodes of Rachael Ray rebuilds will be available to stream on October 23, exclusively on Hulu.
