Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby is tackling tough topics with the launch of a foundation that will aim to level the playing field for children and dogs in need.

In mid-November 2023, the two-time Pro Bowl champion announced that he and his wife Rachel had created The Maxx Crosby Foundationa non-profit organization that will focus on youth health and fitness, providing assistance to adolescents suffering from substance abuse, as well as animal rescue and abuse prevention, among other issues that matter heart to Crosby.
“My family and I have been fortunate to have the opportunity and platform to give back to the communities and causes we care about,” said Maxx Crosby. “I hope the Maxx Crosby Foundation will make a significant impact and provide direct assistance to those in need.”
The core of the foundation’s work will take place in southern Nevada, eastern Michigan and northern Texas.
Devoted to dogs, the NFL player with the tough-guy persona on the playground has a soft spot for Pit Bulls. The sports star said in a 2020 statement USA today interview that Pit Bulls “…are deformed and I take it personally because I have three of them. I just want to show people that they really are amazing dogs.
Crosby rescued his first Pittie right out of school and is now the proud pet parent of his barking buddies Brooklyn, Durk and Leo.
Since becoming known as a sports personality, he has donned match shoes adorned with a portrait of a Pit Bull to raise money for the Stand Up for Pits Foundation during the annual fundraising campaign #mycleatsmycause of the NFL, and teamed up with the real estate company. Homie to raise funds and awareness for Pit Bull Pits for Pets rescue.
The sports star even expressed his desire to eventually open a Pit Bull rescue.
