Priya is a female Akita cross Husky aged 7-8 years old. She is extremely well-behaved and very easy to train. She loves walks and can walk all day, but at home she just snores all day.
She has a strange aversion to small black dogs, if one barks at her she barks back and can become very bouncy. She is possessive of other dogs’ food and therefore needs to be fed separately. If another dog comes near her food, she will attack them.
Other than that, she gets along well with dogs and currently lives with a Shi Tzu and has previously lived with a larger dog. She is ok with cats unless they run then she chases them, she currently lives with a cat who knows about dogs.
She likes to be petted but only for a limited time and often prefers to sit near you rather than with you. She currently lives in a house with five children and needs to be rehoused because she attacked one of the children.
The incident involved another dog and food so we don’t know if Priya was taking the child or the other dog. On this basis, we would prefer to rehouse her in a home without children.
