Carolina Prime Pet Inc. voluntarily recalls Hollywood Feed Jerky products

Carolina Prime Pet Inc. is voluntarily recalling five varieties of its dried treats, distributed at Hollywood Feed, due to potential Salmonella contamination.

According to FDA Enforcement Reportthe recall was initiated on September 27, 2023 but no press releases have been issued regarding the recalled products.

The recall was initiated by the customer, Hollywood Feed, after it tested the shipment of dried treats it received and a sample tested positive for salmonella.

After the sample tested positive for Salmonella, Hollywood Feed reported the test results to the FDA.

The recalled products were never sold to Hollywood Feed stores or any other retail establishment and were immediately returned to Carolina Prime Pet Inc.

Although Carolina Prime Pet Inc. has not released any statement regarding the recall and the products are believed to have never been released for sale, we still strongly recommend that you immediately discard all affected products with the information listed above.

Additionally, if your dog has ingested any of the affected products, please monitor your dog for any adverse effects or symptoms. And contact your veterinarian immediately if you notice any signs of illness.

Please also note that no other Carolina Prime Pet Inc. products other than those listed above are affected by this recall.
