Small animal adoption fees must be waived at the adoption event
Thinking of adding a small pet to your family?
Join the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) in all three Animal care and adoption centers for a small animal adoption marathon in honor of Clear the sheltersa national pet adoption campaign.
From August 10-13, from guinea pigs to rabbits, mice, rats, and more*, ARL adoption fees will be waived: they may be small, but they’ll hold a big place in your heart!
the ARLs Forward adoption The process will remain the same and our adoption team will ask potential adopters to bring a photo of the cage their pet will be living in to ensure it meets our requirements.
Look for small animals available for adoption.
ARL has seen a steady influx of these animals, including guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, rats, hamsters, and even sugar gliders and chinchillas, over the past few years, and a large proportion of these dropouts are mis-sexed animals that end up mating – leading to unexpected litters.
There are countless benefits to adopting a small pet.
Aside from their out-of-the-ordinary friendliness, these animals are great for small living spaces and for living environments that don’t allow for a dog or cat. They are also social, affectionate and make wonderful pets! Plus, many little ones can be trained to use a litter box, among other cute and amazing skills!
