Bella is a 9 year old female cross. She’s a true sweetheart who loves the finer things in life and for her, that’s food, a comfy bed and lots of cuddles.
Bella is a double amputee, her two back legs had to be removed, but she gets by very well on 2 legs. She is a truly wonderful dog.
We’ve started introducing wheels, but Bella is so determined to live like a normal dog that she won’t comply.
To our amazement, she managed to find a way out of her wheels – she is such a determined and strong-willed girl.
Bella may still enjoy going for walks in her buggy and loves running and exploring the secure fields, but her own garden would be the ultimate goal.
Bella is a little dog weighing 13 kg and who is happy to be held. Bella spent a few short periods in a foster family where she is doing wonderfully.
Bella has taken life at home in her stride and travels particularly well by car.
Bella can go to the toilet like any able-bodied dog, however, due to her disability she may struggle with potty training and so will need some continued patience with this.
Bella will need an understanding owner, preferably one with experience with disabled dogs.
Bella can be nervous around new people and will scream at the top of her lungs to get them to leave. However, once she knows and trusts you, she is the most affectionate girl.
Bella will need a calm, quiet home where all children are aged 16 and over. Bella could live with a compatible dog and is also cat friendly. Adoption fee: is £250.
