6 year old male Shar-Pei cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier available for adoption

Deacon is a 6 year old male Shar-Pei cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He currently lives in Basingstoke. He is an absolute joy, such a happy and relaxed boy, a real character.

Deacon is a real potty cat and loves his cuddles but doesn’t like to be picked up or give you his paw, he does however love to be groomed and will sit when asked and come to his name when called.

Deacon loves going for walks but must remain on a leash at all times due to lack of recall.

Deacon can live with children over 8 years old and is dog friendly, but we certainly think it would be best for Deacon to be rehomed as a ONLY DOG HOME WITHOUT CATS with someone home 90% of the time. time because he doesn’t have much left.

Deacon travels well in the car, is good at vets and is house trained. Deacon would make a family or someone the perfect companion.

Helping rescue dogs and cats in the UK

Helping Dogs & Cats is a not-for-profit animal rescue organization (CIC number 1420295) based in Basingstoke and operating across Hampshire, Berkshire, Kent and Surrey. We rescue dogs, cats and other small animals in need of help.

Our journey began in 2018 when our founder Kirsty Wrightson started the rescue after losing her beloved dog, Millie. Our work includes placement and rehabilitation, veterinary care, microchipping, spaying and neutering. All animals in our care are first placed in foster homes for evaluation.

Adopting a dog, cat or other animal is a big decision and, in most cases, a long-term commitment. To help you answer all your questions, we’ve created an FAQ guide. https://helpingdogsandcatsuk.org/faqs-1

Our small team is made up of volunteers, true animal lovers and passionate about animal welfare. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on the generosity of our supporters. Every penny we receive goes directly to helping dogs and cats.

We offer comprehensive lifesaving protection for your adopted pet.
