Diablo is a 5 year old cross male. He was left to fend for himself after the death of his elderly owner and was often seen wandering the streets, including busy roads, before being handed over to the local pound.
Diablo is a gorgeous boy, he is handsome and affectionate, very friendly and well behaved with people. He gently takes the treats from your hand and greets you with a wagging tail.
When he sees his keepers approaching his kennel, he begins to wag his tail and pushes himself against the rails, longing for human contact.
Diablo is also an intelligent dog who learns quickly. He cooperates well with humans and is a lovable and adaptable boy. He is a calm, patient boy who performs exceptionally well when grooming.
Diablo is very accepting of people and lets you do anything and everything to him. He walks well on a leash and although he is not always friendly when meeting other dogs on a leash, he is very easy to handle, responds quickly to commands and is well maneuverable.
Overall, he is more of a people’s dog and shows no interest in connecting with other dogs.
Diablo would be best suited to a family where he is not left alone for long periods of time and has time for his training.
We will have to give Diablo time to settle into his new home. He would be happiest with patient, loving owners who understand the needs of rescue dogs and appreciate his beautiful nature.
Diablo has spent the last 10 months in the pound and we think it’s undeserved because he is a wonderful dog who will do anything to please his humans.
Diablo would probably be happiest as the only dog ββin the family as he doesn’t need dog companionship, he feels quite happy around humans. However, he could potentially live with a calm and friendly dog.
Like all shelter dogs, he will need time, patience, love and commitment from his adoptive family to become a happy and balanced dog. Experience with rescue dogs desired. No new owners, please.
Diablo is currently in Hungary and will be able to travel to the UK as soon as an ideal family is found for him. He arrives neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved documents. Adoption is subject to home inspection and adoption fees.
