Maya is a 4 month old female cross. She currently lives in Hungary. She was seen being beaten and abused by gypsies while trying to survive on the streets when she was just a few weeks old.
At first, Maya was wary of people, but she quickly opened up once she felt safe and well cared for. He is now a healthy, happy, playful puppy who loves life and has been living in the shelter for two months.
May is expected to be of medium size at maturity (current weight: 10 kg, current shoulder height: 38 cm). Maya is full of life, she has all the energy of a puppy and she feels best when she plays with the other dogs at the shelter.
Maya is cheeky and playful and also loves cuddles. She is very sociable by nature and gets along with all kinds of dogs. She is also friendly to humans and enjoys company. We would like her not to spend the winter in the shelter but in a warm house as a sofa inhabitant.
Maya would be best suited to a family where she is not left alone for long periods of time and has time to train.
This will include potty training and standard puppy training. She would be happiest with an active family and participate in their activities. Children over 10 years old will be taken into account.
Maya would probably be happier living with another dog or playful dog as she enjoys companionship and is very sociable. She also has the potential to live with cats.
Like all shelter dogs, it will take time, patience, love and commitment from his adoptive family to become a happy and well-adjusted dog.
Experience with rescue dogs desired. No new owners, please. Maya is currently in Hungary and will be able to travel to the UK as soon as an ideal family is found for her.
Maya is fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved documents. Adoption is subject to home inspection and adoption fees. Full RBU provided.
