Kope is a 2 year old male Puli Cross. He was found malnourished, full of ticks and fleas, his hair overgrown to the point he couldn’t see or hear, hiding at the back of a residential property, scared to death.
Following good grooming, several purple bruises were found on his body so he must have been mistreated too, not just neglected.
Kope now lives in a shelter with several other dogs while looking for a family who will love him, appreciate him and make him forget his troubled past.
Kope is a shy boy but he is slowly starting to come out of his shell. He is now very affectionate with his rescuers and approaches them for cuddles.
Noises or sudden movements can still frighten him and push him to try to escape. He is still a little wary of strangers and tends to bark at them when they approach.
Kope gets along well with the other doggies in the shelter, he has a typical Puli game, meaning he knows how to express himself and does everything he can to get them to join in his game.
Kope is fully potty trained and is not destructive around the house when left alone, but may bark.
He’s a sweet boy who deserves the best home after everything he’s been through.
Kope would be best suited to a family without children where he will not be left alone for long periods of time and can spend valuable time with his humans.
Kope needs owners who understand the training needs of a rescue dog and will gradually introduce him to his new environment.
Kope could live happily with another friendly, well-adjusted dog or could be the only dog in the house.
Like all shelter dogs, he will need time, patience, love and commitment from his adoptive family to become a happy and balanced dog.
Experience with rescue dogs desired. No new owners, please. Kope is currently in Hungary and will be able to travel to the UK as soon as an ideal family is found for him.
Kope is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, with an EU passport and DEFRA approved documents. Adoption is subject to home inspection and adoption fees. Full RBU provided.
