McKenzie is an 11 month old male cross puppy.
When McKenzie arrived in the UK at the end of last year, we didn’t have a foster family for him. This poor little boy looked so sad and scared in his kennel.
Luckily, it didn’t take us long to find him a foster family. Since then, he has flourished. This is from his adoptive mother-
“What a difference a few weeks can make. When he came to us from the kennel, McKenzie was so scared that he hid in the darkest corner he could find and shook when we touched him.
Fast forward and we have a different dog. His tail is still wagging, he gets up first in the morning looking for cuddles and he has a fantastic appetite. He actually needed to gain weight.
Walking on a leash requires continued practice as he is afraid of passing trucks and buses, but this is improving. He is 99% trained with only a rare accident now.
He loves our children and our own FAR rescue dog, Ruby. She has definitely helped him gain confidence and for this reason we think he would need another dog in his forever home.
He is a sweet and kind boy who, with continued training, will make a fantastic member of the family.
