Unfortunately, mixed breeds are all too common in animal shelters in the United States. A 2015 study by the National Animal Interest Alliance found that purebred dogs make up only 5% of all dogs living in shelters.
Pearl is a very special dog and a worthy of a new forever home. “She is the sweetest soul I have ever met,” Amerosa told her followers. “She only wants approval and love.” Although it sometimes happens that the dogs from the shelter come with the acquired baggage Despite the difficult start to life they endured, Pearl is different.
Aside from some skin allergies treated with doses of cytopoint, she would fit in nicely alongside pre-existing pets, with Amerosa noting that she “loves cats and does well with small dogs.”
Pearl cuts a serene figure in the video posted to TikTok, happy to sit on a cushion and take in her surroundings. Despite the cruelty inflicted on her early in her life, she also remains playful and is happy to have fun with Amerosa in the music video.
As of this writing, Pearl’s video has been viewed more than 100,000 times, and Amerosa hopes that by highlighting her story and loving disposition, she can afford a new house.
She certainly received a lot of support on social media, with animal lovers on TikTok flocking to comment on the clip. One viewer said she was “literally a bunny dog”, while another commented she was a “baby angel”.
Others were amazed that anyone would abandon him under such circumstances. “Why would anyone do that?” » asked one user. “What a pretty girl.”
Elsewhere, a TikTok user said: “She deserves the best home and family! I hope she gets it soon!” while another wrote: “I love her little squishy face. I hope she finds her forever!!” The hope is that her newfound fame on social media will help Pearl do just that.
